Costs involved

The costs for our volunteering arrangements depend on the period you are intending to stay. The costs consist of the following:

Participation fee

We charge a fixed participation fee of 300 Euro per person. This fee is to cover our overhead expenses and cost of supporting you during your stay. Part of the fee (30%) is flowing back to the community you are volunteering in, by contributing to the building of the Eco Lodge and the community fund.

Soft landing

Jolinaiko Eco Tours provides a warm welcome and sleeping address for you upon arrival: an airport transfer, two nights in a hotel in Accra and the 'Accra Orientation Tour' to give you some time to acclimatise and get to know your surroundings. After two days, we will travel to the village together.

Costs involved: 80 Euro.

Accommodation and food

We provide a homestay with a local family in Atsiekpoe-Vume. A clean private room with a bed and mosquito net, and breakfast and diner is provided by the family you live with.

Costs involved: 5 Euro a day / 35 Euro per week.

Not included

Ticket, insurance and pocket money for other expenses than mentioned, will be have to be paid by yourself.

Whenever some problem raised, she could rely on Apollo and Abraham. She had a wonderful time, in which - also with the help from Apollo - she learned a lot about Africa, Ghana, the people, the nature and the culture. She had a wonderful and valuable time she will never forget.

Apollo is not just someone who organises trip's etc. in a perfect manner and to your liking, he is also like a friend who wants you to meet Ghana and it's people. To make a long story short: as far as we had the opportunity to experience ourselves, everything that is said on this website about Apollo - by himself and by those who met him - is true. ”
